Job Purpose:

Operate and tend washing and drying machines to wash industrial articles, such as sheets, towels, pillowcases, microfiber rags.

Tasks:

· Sort all linen from the chute into proper loads (i.e. sheets, towels, pillowcases, microfiber rags

· Place all sorted linen into the washers

· Make sure that all washers are emptied and reloaded

· Put all linen into dryers to be dried. When finished drying, remove dried linen and refill dryers with the next load

· Fold and place all dried linen on rack so that the next morning Houseman can distribute to the proper closets for the housekeepers use

· Throughout shift- check with the restaurant for dirty napkins and table linen. Make sure that all linen is processed and left for the next day delivery

· Make sure that all microfiber cleaning rags are washed, dried and left for the next morning

· At the end of the shift- make sure that the dryer lint screens are cleaned and sweep up the laundry room

· Other duties as assigned.

The employee is regularly exposed to Wet or humid conditions (non-weather); Fumes or airborne particles; Toxic or caustic chemicals;

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
